SAS SOCIETY hosts World Tuberculosis Day (TB) Day-2018 programme

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. As per World Health Organization’s (WHO) 2017 report, globally 53 Million peoples are reported with TB and 9.4 million peoples are affecting annually. Where as In India, has the highest number of TB cases and 1.98 million peoples reported TB annually and 280,000 deaths due to TB every year.
On the occasion of World Tuberculosis day 2018 on the theme “Wanted Leaders for TB Free India ! We can Make History. End TB” Scholars Academic and Scientific Society (SAS Society-An International Organization), an NGO based on Borhawor, Hojai, Assam, has organized Awareness Rally along with School Students in the Borhawor Village under Murajhar PS, Hojai, Assam. Moreover, has conducted a Speech Competition Programme on TB and other communicable diseases among students held at Jatiya Vidhalaya, Borhawor. Good number of students had participated and best three were awarded with Prize and Certificates from the SAS Society. At the end of the session Dr. Mosrur Ahmed Laskar, who was attended as a Chief Guest, delivered his speech and discussed elaborately about various causes, mode of transmission, preventing measures and treatment of TB. Mr. Imam Uddin, (CEO, SAS Publisher and President, SAS Society) has said the students about responsibilities and other various activities to do along with studies and to keep clean and hygienic to avoid various diseases. At the Programme ending, the School Principal, Mr. Abdul Hashim on his Vote of Thanks, has acknowledged SAS Social Wing President Mr. Nazim Hussain and his team and also showed his willingness to involve in various activities of SAS Society in upcoming days.
